So now I’d like to talk about what you will cover in this program. In Module 1, we will talk about what stress actually is and how to recognize the symptoms much earlier on. In Module 2, we will talk about those negative impacts of stress.
They include a variety of symptoms and physical health cognitive emotional and even mental health. In Module 3, we’ll discuss living in balance. So we’ll review how to have better balance with various aspects of our lives, such as our work and home life or family life, personal interest.
In Module 4, we will review those benefits of calming and reducing stress. Module 5, will be about strategies to actually reduce stress and one of those strategies will be mindfulness, but because I find mindfulness to be such an important topic, I’ve created an entire separate module just on mindfulness.
That’s in module 6. We’ll talk about what mindfulness is and then I’ll walk you through a mindfulness exercise. In Module 7, we’ll look at cognitive restructuring, which is an activity that targets unhealthy thinking patterns.
So we want to change the way that you think about stress and that will help you to better cope with stress. In Module 8, we’ll look at establishing a healthy habit and setting up routines that will include better coping skills.
