Airball whoops What’s up guys Welcome back to Think Athlete TV and here are some tips and tricks on how to look badass during your training sessions Just kidding This video is all about order of exercise for athletes. If you want an optimal workout as an athlete and you better pay attention to this video so there’s kind of two aspects you’re gonna need to think about and that’s number one going from Big muscle groups to small muscle groups and number two going from exercises that are not too tiring to very tiring stuff So the Order of Exercise goes like this: It goes from Non-tiring Dynamic Warm-Ups Bodyweight Speed and Power Drills, Power Exercises with Weights Strength Exercises with Weights Isolation Movements Core Movements and then of course Cardi-ooo Sidebar cardi B’s line.I run this ish like cardio is probably… …it’s bad… and as you can see from my Warm-Up it consisted of the Rower, Battle Ropes, Jump Rope and Kettlebells. if you do each exercise for about five minutes each You’re gonna break a sweat, but you won’t get tired So the next movements involve Power and speed without weight. So these would be the box jumps that I’m doing Or the big jumps (leaps?) that I’m doing that are on the floor the agility ladder Sprints and things of that nature and again very non tiring. So keep the volume low I do 5 sets of 3, which is a good decent volume. Alright next are Power Movements This part of the training is using the triple extension and putting load on your jumping power. The reason why athletes should be training with some kind of variation with Olympic lifts is that it does build, um, lower leg power and Gives you a tremendous increase in your athletic capacity. Alright next are the “Big Group of Muscles” Strength Exercises – the strengthening ones. so these are your basic BENCH, SKWAT, DEDLIFS, OHP and Rows and these exercises are meant to make you stronger overall, not necessarily power just basic strength and In any sport the stronger you are the better athlete and the better players you’re gonna be There’s always gonna be a correlation of an increase of strength and better performance in any sport, honestly Again think BIG then small. That was one of the concepts that I talked about earlier So the next exercises are isolation movements as you can see, I’m grabbing the dumbbells and I’m isolating my chest doing the flat bench chest press and these are movements like curls for the girls or tricep extensions and These are pretty popular within the bodybuilding community which will help you stimulate growth with your muscles, which everyone wants to have gainz, amirite? And that’s it! Follow this Order of Exercises and I guarantee you you’re gonna have an optimal workout until next time – Think Athlete, PEACE!
